CADDO PARISH PARKS & RECREATION TO HOST 2ND ANNUAL JR. NBA SKILLS CHALLENGE IN MEMORY OF DEVIN MYERS
Caddo Parish, LA - Caddo Parish Parks and Recreation, in conjunction with Raising Canes will host the 2nd Annual Jr. NBA Skills Youth Challenge (ages 7-13). The event will take place on Saturday, April 1st from 9:00am – 12:00noon at the Huntington High School gymnasium. Participation is free and open to the public, but preregistration is required.
This annual event is in honor of the late Huntington High School basketball star, Devin Myers, who was fatally shot March 3rd, 2022 due to senseless gun violence.
Participants will have an opportunity to showcase their basketball skills through five fundamental basketball drills (shooting, lay-ups, dribbling, passing and defense). Local law enforcement and mental health representatives will be on-site to discuss the impact of gun violence in our communities.
