The Parish's Emergency Rental Assistance Program has helped countless numbers of Caddo Parish residents during this time of uncertainty. Caddo Parish is one of only four governments in the country that have been able to successfully distribute over 90 percent of ERAP funding to citizens.
ERAP has processed over 8,000 applications, distributed over $16 million dollars, assisted over 5,000 families in our area, and continues to help individuals that are in need of rental assistance due to the pandemic.
"Our staff has worked tirelessly, from creation to implementation, to facilitate a successful ERAP program for our citizens," said Parish Administrator Dr. Woody Wilson. "We are pleased that we have been able to get our allocated funding out to citizens that need it the most, and will continue to ensure that the program is responsive to needs of the residents of Caddo Parish," said Wilson.
Parish staff and
Caddo Commissioner Steven Jackson were asked to represent Caddo Parish on a national call hosted by the US Department of the Treasury, UDSA and other federal partners on September 28 to discuss the success of the program and to offer best practices to other governments in the country who are working to facilitate ERAP programs in their communities.
Residents who are need of rental assistance as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic are strongly encouraged to visit
