Parish announces Mayo Road bridge closure

Parish Bridge Closure - Mayo Road

PARISH ANNOUNCES MAYO ROAD BRIDGE CLOSURE

Beginning April 5, 2021, the Parish’s bridge located on Mayo Road in south Caddo will be closed to allow the Caddo Parish Department of Public Works to replace the structure.

The Public Works Department will be replacing the bridge and conducting associated road improvements. These improvements will ensure decades of durability, safety and access for motorists that utilize the bridge.

Mayo Road will be accessible from Wallace Lake Rd. or Linwood Ave.   Motorists are asked to use Flournoy Lucas Rd. as a detour route.

Construction is expected to be completed by early June.  Citizens interested in monitoring the status of the project can watch its completion in real time by viewing the Parish’s ProjectCAM. ProjectCAM provides continuous, real-time video of the project in process, and can be viewed at the Parish’s website at caddo.org.
