CADDO COMMISSIONERS ELECTED TO NACo LEADERSHIP POSITIONS
Caddo Parish, LA – Two Caddo Parish Commissioners have been elected to leadership roles within the National Association of Counties (NaCO)’s committee structure for 2020-2021. The elections took place at NACo’s annual business meeting, held virtually on July 20.
NACo’s policy committees cover a full array of domestic policy issues impacting county governments and local communities.
Commission Vice-President Lyndon B. Johnson was elected Vice-Chair of the Elections subcommittee of the Finance, Pensions and Intergovernmental Affairs Committee. The committee oversees all matters pertaining to the financial resources of counties, fiscal management, federal assistance, municipal borrowing, county revenues, federal budget, federal tax reform, elections and Native American issues.
Commissioner Ken Epperson was elected to the Veteran Services and Military Services Committee. The committee engages NACo and its members to develop and highlight county best practices and policies to promote innovative programs, services and benefits for our nation’s military, veterans and their families.
