Meet the Parish Administrator

Welcome to Caddo Parish

On behalf of the Administration, Caddo Parish Commission and staff, we are honored and consider it a privilege to welcome you as our “on-line” guest!! Our Parish is rich in heritage and a wonderful place to live, work, play and raise a family.

Our geographical area encompasses approximately 900 square miles with well maintained roads, good infrastructure, wonderful parks and other recreational sites. We are ever so thankful and grateful to our citizenry who have proven to be very supportive and appreciative of our efforts to provide them with the best services possible!!

We are home to Chimp Haven, which is a retirement sanctuary for chimpanzees, who were once used for scientific and medical research. Now, they can live out the remainder of their lives comfortably in an environment conducive to their natural habitats. We are proud of our Veterans Cemetery, built in “honor of those Veterans living and in memory of those who have died.”

The Haynesville Shale has allowed us to develop some great partnerships with various community organizations and businesses. We pride ourselves on having an “open door policy” and being “business-friendly”, as evidenced by our relationship with the movie industry. Several productions have been filmed in our “own back yard”, and they continue to flourish. We consider Caddo Parish to be one of the most progressive parishes in the state and we are proud to call it home.
